Description |
A crane on a barge is lifting a huge bin to pour concrete during the rebuilding of the bridge. A man is seen hanging on the side of the bin, while two men on the scaffolding help guide the flow into the column. On reverse side of the photograph: "Twenty tons of mixed concrete are being poured down the big hopper into forms to make a column to support the new Richardson Bay Bridge. Will be 238 concrete piles of various sizes under the 6-lane span." |
