A framed group of photos of Viola Baldocchi, 1886-1979. In 1979, the estate of Viola Baldocchi left $59,000 to the Children's Room in the Mill Valley Public Library. She was a 43-year-old resident of Mill Valley who died in April, 1978. Her conservartor, who asked not to be named, said that she had no close living relatives and most of her money went to charities. She "liked children from a distance." The head librarian at the time could not find anyone who knew her. |
