"Pipe Line Trail - Ruins of Swiss Club." This is page one of the photograph album created by Arthur D. Mills in February 1925 for the editors of the Mill Valley Record. The album contains 41 captioned and annotated photographs of damage to Mill Valley from the storm of February 11 and 12, 1925. The album caption under the photograph reads: "Members volunteered Sunday to clear & lay plans for new building. A game lot of men & good fellows all." The caption at the top right reads: "This 3rd man from right was difficult to handle. He said he came up to work and not to sit for pictures needless to say the others SAT ON HIM!" The caption at the far left reads: "Have mislaid this man's S.F. name & address. Promised to communicate with him. ADM" |
