Description |
The Tavern of Mt. Tamalpais with train tracks visible to the left of the building. On lower left corner is printed, "Tavern & Summit of Mt. Tamalpais. Mt. Tamalpais & Muir Woods RY, California." This tavern was built after 1923 fire. It opened in 1924 and closed in 1941 or 1942. It was used by the army during WWII. Later, it was so damaged that the fire department burned it as a training exercise. |
