Description |
Photo of small business owner and Italian immigrant Frank Canepa, to accompany his oral history. He opened his first store in 1929 (in the current "Hat Box" location on Throckmorton Ave.) on the exact day of the Great Mill Valley fire and spent the time fighting the fire on Mt. Tam. He opened what is now the Mill Valley Market in 1951, eventually handing management to his sons Jim and Bob Canepa. |
