Description |
The stone seats at the Cushing Memorial Amphitheatre, also known as the Mountain Theatre, under installation by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937. The serpentine rocks were carried up Mount Tamalpais and shaped into seats for patrons of the Mountain Play. Installation was completed in 1940. |
