Emma Reiman, winner of the Women's Dipsea Hike on May 15, 1921. Her time: 1 hour and 15 minutes. Reiman received two prizes, a silver cup and a pearl necklace. This photograph depicts Reimann running on the Dipsea Trail. Notes on back: "On the old road just last from #1." "Girls Dipsea" and "Time: 1hr.16min.5sec." Reimann's 1922 time of 1:12:06 for the rugged crossing from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach would not be surpassed until 1969. |
