Description |
A view of the Tavern of Tamalpais. The original Tavern of Tamalpais was built in 1896 and destroyed by fire in 1923. It was rebuilt on a smaller scale in 1924, and then razed in the 1950s after a wind storm blew the roof off. The photograph shows the archway under which the Mt. Tamalpais Scenic Railway would pass. |
