Description |
The train left Lytton Square under this archway to begin the trip to Mt. Tamalpais. McDonald's Jewelers, 74 Throckmorton Avenue, occupied this site in 1977. Rutherford's Pharmacy is to the right. (The archway was decorated in honor of President McKinley who was to take the train trip; however, the trip was cancelled when Mrs. McKinley became ill.) Photo was taken in May, 1901. |
