Description |
Portrait of Helen Van Cleave Park, Marin historian. Born in 1899, Miss Park moved to Marin in 1937 after becoming a Designer (Decorative Arts/Interior Design). Later in life, she became interested in history, particularly focusing on women in Marin County, and wrote several monographs. In the 1970's, she would also co-author "Early Marin" and "Marking of Marin," two books on Marin County history. She woul became the first person to be granted an honorary Life Membership to the Marin Historical Society. |
