"Lee Street Local" Engine Number 6 at the Mill Valley Depot. This small train carried commuters and shoppers up Corte Madera Creek to Lee Street. The fare was five cents (and upped to ten cents after 1910). Engineer Bonner Whitcomb, left, and 17 year old conductor Cliff Graves (with dog "Spot") pose beside their "dinky" in 1906. Note: front and back of photo differ in dog's name Spot/Sport.
