Type of Object Print, Photographic
Object ID 1911.014.005
Collection Photographs
Description At the corner of Lovell and Cornelia Streets, from the history walk in 1984. At this spot, Frank F Bostwick, Mill Valley's 1st mayor, and his father-in-law John Stewart purchased this area at the 1890 auction. Cows from the Throckmorton ranch slept here among other "warm" spots and when he found cowpaths all over the hill, he knew he found the site for his future home.
